A-Belco Hazardous Area was originally known as Cortem UK Ltd, a joint venture formed in 1999 between A-Belco and Cortem SpA in the supply of explosion proof electrical equipment to the UK market. By 2006 the A-Belco Group owned 100% of Cortem UK Ltd, with a restructure of the A-Belco Group the A-Belco Hazardous Area Division was born.

A-Belco Hazardous area offers an extensive standard product range alongside a bespoke offering, manufactured according to a clients’ individual hazardous area and certification specifications for the Zone Classification Areas 1,2,21 & 22, Gas and Dust.
